New regional mins?

Pretty much. If I recall correctly in the late 90s I was told 3000TT, 500 ME, 'preferably some turbine time' to apply at SKW. Oh, and an ATP of course.

exactly. Some of these folks are misremembering some years. I know plenty of guys that got picked up in 07, and early 08 with 250. If a guy had 500 back then, people were wondering why he wasn’t already at the regionals.

Nobody knows what the fck they’re talking about here. Nobody knows the future.

Even places like Colgan had a pay for training setup in 2005(?)ish. You PAID for a beech 1900 type essentially for the job.

IIRC, getting hired at a place like ASA into the 200 was totally doable at 400 hours, but at least 100 of those hours needed to be multi.

agreed. That’s why ATP was so popular during that time frame. Price was still reasonable, and you got enough multi time to go the regionals with a wet commercial.

But if hiring was slow, competitive times went up quickly (ie 2002, 2008).
