Default Colgan

Hey everyone,

How likely would it be for me to get a Tx base at Colgan, preferably TYR? What kind of trips are they out of there? Are they day trips (out and backs), or multi day trips? How is the QOL at Colgan now. I know before there was some not so good things to say about them, but how about now? Thanks for the help.

I was wondering the same with Colgan, except a IAH base?

Just go to XJET plain and simple.... It might take you a couple of bids but you will make out to IAH. Plus your W2 will make you

So theoredically though, say a pilot ends up at Colgan. Can they bid right into these cities. or end up in the northeast first?

its all based on need, just like any other regional. Texas is pretty junior right now, so you may get it. All overnights out of tx for colgan

Yeah, from what I have heard you can get your desired base relatively soon after your original assignment. (2-3 months)

Incorrect. IAH and PIT both have overnights. TYR had day trips last I heard.

I'm almost through training at Colgan, I just found out my base about two weeks ago. I bid IAH, TYR, then assorted places in the northeast. I ended up getting Jamestown, NY, which was pretty far down my list.

From everything I'm told, it doesn't take long at all to get the base you want, but who knows. It all depends on how much movement happens at that base, and how many people want it.
