Mesa FO 38k..
🍻 here’s to hoping my 5 million LGB coin takes off |
Funny thing. Probably over half of those mayor pilots posting their W2 spent more time at the regionals, making less money than you.

This Data is good.
Especially for someone who stuck it out through Covid at the CFI level now looking to make the jump. I used this when I picked a regional and used the mainline one as motivation to gtfo of the regionals. That being said, had a good time at the regionals, it sucked we all know it but the people really made it bearable. From the FOs to the FAs everyone was in the same boat. If you show up to work p!ssed off at everyone you'll never be happy no matter where you go.... YX. 8 months (moved on) 4/5th yr CA Earnings: 74k Per diem: 4.7k company paid 401k: 3k (pathetic) 5k Red flag (%200): +5k Vaca Cash out: 10k Gross YTD: 97k Summer was really rough.. got worked all day everyday, lots of premium but no one was picking it up for legality and just plain burnt out. I burned outta the employee lot after my last flight here, I think my tire marks are still there. |
Airline: 9E
Fleet: CRJ2(4 months) CRJ9 (8 months) Year 2 FO W2: $79k Bonus/401K Company match: $2.4k Block: 500 hrs |
YX
Year 2 FO (on unpaid leave, only worked 9 months) w2 - 60.2k (would have been on track to make 80k if I had worked the whole year) 401k - 1.8k block - 655 commuter |
Thanks to everyone posting. Interesting seeing the real numbers. Without trying to sound insulting, it looks like many of you could have picked up considerably more time, to the point of making 25-40k more? I'm not faulting anyone for not doing it (family first, didn't feel like it, have a 2nd job, etc), but pay increase opportunities were there, right?

I had your same view when I wasn't in 121 yet. It's VERY easy to get burnt out flying 80+ block month after month in the airline world |

Yes, there is always room to make more $$. I turned down an additional 15-20k worth of flying towards the end of the year to have more time off and spend time how I wanted to.

Yeah at first premium is really fun, more money than you've ever made in a day. Then you get really picky and then you move on to a major and then i don't know what happens😝

If I wasn't coming off of furlough at the beginning of this year I would have cleared 100k as a 2nd year FO.... easily. Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk |
