The IRS is going to disagree about the Tax free commuting allowance. Commuting expenses are not tax deductible and allowances to assist in commuting ect. are considered income.

Angry Plus the paycut

There has already been a cut in pay for new hires. Anyone joining now will get less than the original group. That will be a great way to recruit people! It won’t take long for new hires to figure out they are getting paid less to do the same job. Again, with all the current opportunities out there why would you join such a place? They’re being sneaky and I don’t think they get it. Look elsewhere, it’s not worth it.

CAE Parc Aviation is recruiting for them: https://www.cae.com/civil-aviation/a...captains-25012

Pilot info: https://www.connectairlines.com/about-pilots

The minimums/requirements vary slightly from Connect's website vs. CAE's listing.

Some quick info
- starting with a Q400 fleet (former Flybe aircraft) and planning to move to A320s in 2023/2024
- CEO is John Thomas, former CEO Virgin Australia
- Pilot bases in PHL and BOS, maybe ORD? Connect website states BOS. Job listing states ORD. ?
- Compensation
- $1500/month (tax free) commuting allowance
- Signing/retention bonus up to 3 years ($72,000)
Training Bond
- Training bond to cover $19,800 initial training
- Deed of trust over a 12-month period
At its best, this looks like a poorly veiled investment scheme cobbled together by an MBA candidate from the University of Phoenix.

Step 1: Raise investment dollars to "start an airline"
Step 2: ???
Step 3: Never get said airline off paper; abscond to Buenos Aires with steamer trunk full of $$$ just like in the movies

I know a few people involved with this operation. I would stay far away.

That doesn’t say much. Sounds like a personal vendetta

There is no training bond. And what you said simply isn’t true

So what made you change from the G550 to the DHC8?

Wasn’t on a G550. Solid investors, good team, awesome future plans.
