Don't forget to factor in that Horizon has a 100% match up to TEN percent on our 401(k)!

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Really doesn't matter since I'm sure they'll try to wrench that away as soon as they possibly can...

1) SKYW second year FO pay is 3 dollars an hour more than mine. Yet its for a 70 passenger jet. 40% more seats, 8% more pay.

2) Does SKYW Paid 100% for deadheads?

3) Do you have lot's of opportunity to trade trips, drop trips, bad day-worse day trades, open time swapping, and pick-up or drop?

4) 100% pay protection on cancellations, management pick-ups, etc.

5) Does SKYW have a Retirement Plan (A or B) and 401K.

6) Does SKYW employees receive annual profit sharing.

Don't know where SKYW stands on these items, but primarily I wanted to point out that there's more to it than what the pay table shows.

SKYW is the richest single regional in the country. I believe about 700 million in Cash and no union! If you guys don't have an industry leading contract, you have to ask...why not?

Hey buddy, maybe you should look at the majors (AA, DAL, UAL, NWA, CAL & US Airways) where some equipment pay scale differences are on the upwards 80%-100%+ more seats for less than 8% more pay. Hell, there's not even a split at UPS between a/c and you want to talk about revenue/profit differences. UPS takes the cake.

I’m not saying that we don’t deserve increase pay for increase revenue, we do!

BTW, on everything else you’ve posted. Do a little research, it’s not hard, just search this forum and you’ll get a complete breakdown of our & your pay packages.

Well FO's aren't paid as advertised on here. FO's are paid base on seniority not equipment type. Horizon's second year FO's and Skywest second year FO's make the same

The point he was getting at was XJT flys 50 seaters and Skywest flys 50/70/90 seaters for almost the same pay we do. I don't dog on Skywest because i wouldn't have minded working there myself and have many friends there. so what SAAB was getting at wasn't far off. Bottom line More seats should = more pay. Would you agree? MGMT wants people to believe that a CRJ 900 is just a CRJ and you don't deserve more money which is complete BS. Hopefully when/If XJT gets bigger planes we can help bring the bar up. Time will tell. We all deserve bigger paychecks no matter who we work for.

Almost meaning our/SKW 50 seat pay is above or below XJT by a $1 here or there and is more than 98% of the industry. Maybe everyone should rethink their targets and start attacking MAG, GoJet, Mesaba, Eagle, Pinnacle, TSA, PSA, and a few others whose 50 seat pay is well below industry average and SKW. For the one's who do fly CR7/9's their pay is also below ours. So, yes we aren't the highest but we are well above average. Looks to me like people are picking the wrong battle.

are we all still in a pis#ing match over what airline is better? We are talking about job that pays 20-30K a year. Not a 100K difference, not even a 20K. So i guess some can afford brand name ketchup, and others have to shop at walmart. I envy you heinz guys. By the way JetJock the majority (49) of Mesaba's planes are 34 seaters. (3 900's, 2 200's, more options). Contract didnt include the 200's from 9E, and does include pay raises as more aircraft (900's) come on property.

What the heck are you doing buying condiments when it's right there sitting at the edge of the counter in all the airport restaurants

Thanks for that, brings a smile to my face. Notice though recently that they have pulled most of the free stuff back behind the counter...they are on to us all, at least for the A and B concourses in MSP (XJ and 9E country) Nice qoute though, love it.

I was hired to fly 747's at Kalitta Air in 2003, and my first year was $40 per hour, with a 60 hour guarantee. In year three I made Captain [by the way it happens quicker now~] at $106 per hour. I generally flew one leg to somewhere...then sat around for a day or two. Hard life huh? It was pretty tough sitting around in a 5 star hotel in Hong Kong or Dubai for three days at a time. And it was pretty tough riding those airline tickets home to Fort Lauderdale- there was no commuting or crash pads. The Chief Pilot is Paul Bishop, and he's a great guy! He flew the 747 used in the film "Air Force One"

-So what are you folks doing at "airlines" like ASA, Mesa, and Pinnacle?
So, wait...you're proud of being one of the lowest-paid 747 drivers in the industry?
