Default SAAB you are misinformed

After the millionth post about SKW pay by the overly vocal SAABerowski I thought I'd dedicate a post about the topic so that he (and others) might become better educated

CRJ-700 SKW Eagle Horizon ASA Comair Republic GoJet PSA
1st ___ $20 _ $24 _ $29 __ $19 _ $22 ___ $23 __ $23 _ $21
2nd ___ $37 _ $32 _ $42 __ $37 _ $36 ___ $30 __ $25 _ $30
3rd ___ $38 _ $35 _ $43 __ $39 _ $37 ___ $35 __ $34 _ $32
4th ___ $39 _ $37 _ $44 __ $40 _ $38 ___ $36 __ $35 _ $34

So SKW pay is lower than most first year but then is higher every year after that (excpet Horizon which makes everybody look bad) and ASA in 3rd and 4th year pay. Fortunately with the current one year upgrade you don't have to worry about ever reaching 3rd and 4th year pay.

The CA side has most carriers within a dollar or two of each other which equates to less than a 2% difference all around.

So I really wonder what SAAB and others are talking about. SKW pay is on par if not higher than most. And do you really think XJT would pay you that much more than what everybody else is making?

I don't know about the way other companies do it but XJT red flags open time when they are shortstaffed and that is a 150% pay rate per hour.

For example I know a guy on first year pay there who got18 pay hours in one day a few weeks ago...that brings a four-day or a montly total up real quick.

Again I don't know how most of the regionals do it but I would not be surprised at all if your friend Mr. Saaborowski could get 120-130 pay hours a month (with still 11-14 days off) by working hard and using the XJT work/pay rules to his advantage.

Alright, well the same goes for reserves because the guy I was talking about in that example did 110 hours in June, on reserve.

Duvie, not to jump on what you've said here, but the devil is in the details.

1) SKYW second year FO pay is 3 dollars an hour more than mine. Yet its for a 70 passenger jet. 40% more seats, 8% more pay.

2) Does SKYW Paid 100% for deadheads?

3) Do you have lot's of opportunity to trade trips, drop trips, bad day-worse day trades, open time swapping, and pick-up or drop?

4) 100% pay protection on cancellations, management pick-ups, etc.

5) Does SKYW have a Retirement Plan (A or B) and 401K.

6) Does SKYW employees receive annual profit sharing.

Don't know where SKYW stands on these items, but primarily I wanted to point out that there's more to it than what the pay table shows.

SKYW is the richest single regional in the country. I believe about 700 million in Cash and no union! If you guys don't have an industry leading contract, you have to ask...why not?

1. Could be more for the size of A/C.

2. Yes.

3. tons of trips to swap get rid of. All open time this month is at 150%

4. Yes.

5. Yes.

6. Yes. And on time rewards.

Sounds like things are very similar.

Why did you post 4th year FO pay for a regional airline? It seems to me that captain pay is more pertinent. Right?

Do I read the payscale correctly that the CRJ-900 pay is the same as the CRJ-700 pay?

That's what the APC payscale seems to say. Is this correct?
