No rhyme or reason to eagle interview invites. I applied over a year ago and was sent the, "you do not meet competitive minimums" letter. I changed nothing on the application and just got invited to an interview two weeks ago after not logging onto the airline apps website since getting denied. Same times (1200tt / 250 multi) posted on the application as I never bothered to go in and update, and obviously the same boxes checked or unchecked. Makes no real sense, because at the time I applied, everyone was saying how bad Eagle needed pilots, blah, blah, blah. Oh well...I ended up with my goal job in the mean time so it all worked out. Good luck

No...I turned the interview down. I had always wanted to fly corporate / charter, and after I was turned down for Eagle a year ago, I found a job at a charter company that I had been interested in for a long time. This is my career flying position. I have been here for a year now, and have since got my ATP as well as my CE-560 PIC type rating, and am enjoying the lifestyle of working for a growing (substantially) company that appreciates its employees, and is located five miles from my front door!! I gave up on the whole airline dream and am glad that I did.

VTcharter - glad to hear you like Heritage. I can't PM yet - but the fact that you'd consider a career there inspired me to finally join. I'm also 5 miles away, and miss fixed wing. Hope we can connect soon.

1100\115 isn’t competitive? Wow. They must not have liked the way you looked or something.

Thats the point. He didn't even get offered the interview and received the turn down letter based on his application, with all of the boxes checked, no bad history and more flight time than most who are getting hired. I am sure that they get tons of applications, but the automated filing system should be able to sort through based on qualifications required, and getting a, "you do not meet competitive requirements" letter, when it is obvious that you do, is a problem. For an airline that is screaming for warm bodies, it would seem that they need to re-evaluate the performance of this system.

Whacker77, the fact that you did not make it through CHQ training a couple months ago is probably why Eagle passed on you.. despite the competitive times, they want to know you will pass a 121 training program.
