Default Can you tell if they want you?

Noticed something today, AWAC is flying me out to DC positive space, whereas ASA is flying me down to ATL S3, and claims if you get bumped, "you get bumped" it's your problem. Interesting how the dynamics work, I know one thing for sure, I will be in DC, god forbid any bad weather occurs, but on the other hand I might not make it to ATL. Who wants me more? lol

I think the PS vs. S3 is just how the company works - which clues you in to how they will treat you as an employee!

not necassarily... pinnacle positive spaces you to the interview but skywest made my buddy fly standby, and they lost his luggage...

and according to alot of people skywest is better than pinnacle. i just think we are more desperate for pilots.

Oooh... careful with that because that's what companies WANT you to think...

I don't think there's a logic in any of this!! For the Republic interview they flew me space available with a connection in Charlotte...of course there was NOTHING available...had to sleep one night at Baggage Claim to fly out the next morning...really sucked!! For PSA I flew space positive, was even booked First Class???!!! Still didn't get the job. American Eagle was space available aswell...and I actually got "bumped" of the plane...not funny, very humiliating!! At least there I got the job...I guess you just get a little taste of what your future might be like when you are going from inteview to interview...take it or leave it, right??

It seems like all the Delta connection carriers are S3 - Comair, ASA, Skywest.. and NWA (Pinnacle, Mesaba), US Airways subsidiaries (PSA, PDT, even non-wholly owned like AWAC) are positive space. The only company I interviewed with that was S3 was Comair.. and I missed my first interview date because of it, after standing by like 10 hrs at the airport. The ticket counter agent was like, "they're interviewing you for a pilot position and didn't positive space you?? "

They didn't PS me but they gave me an S2. None of the flights I attempted to get on had any other S2s so I got on first (tons of S3s though). However the two flights out of DAB I got bumped off were both oversold. I got there late at night but I never would have gotten there if I had been an S3.
