easier to strike yes, but which countries have better pilot working conditions than the US?

You already make more than legacy FO’s by quite a bit.. if anything, flying 1/3 - 1/4 the pax and getting paid more is not sustainable. Just like at the majors; bigger jet means bigger pay. The big gap is in 401K contribution. Regionals are also a stepping stone, just go to a major if you want to lock in better long term pay rates and QOL. Don’t be a lifer and get out while you can. You can go to endeavor and flow to Delta in like 2-3 years…
You also misinterpreted what was said. It was primarily about not losing pay through whipsaw/concessions which will be coming once the shortage is actually over.
Folks like you said getting paid more than what we were paid 10 years ago "wasn't sustainable" but it sure looks like it actually was after all, doesn't it.
Look, A rising tide lifts all boats. Stop trying to put others down, and instead help them, and use their success to build upon at your shop to help yourself too.
What you just said was - in effect - that RJ pilots are paid more per passenger than mainline pilots. Maybe you should fix that and get paid more. I'd use the ratio pay/passenger and push for raises at your job rather than trying to justify management cutting RJ pilots pay.

I never made less at the major than I would have if I had stayed at OO.
OO (and all the regionals) closed the gap, but year by year major compensation always stayed ahead.
Of course there are outliers who work hard and/or chase premium, but that's not exclusive to regional CA's or major FO's.
A regional sim instructor/LCA can make major CA pay, that's really not available to major FO's, so there's that.

That is 100% true also about LCA/CKA
The intangible - for me at least - is being based 15 minutes from home at the regional vs commuting forever at a legacy. Family deeply rooted here, and moving is not an option. 1/4 of my reserve days are from my living room, or shopping with the wife, playing ball or swimming with the kid.

For first year pay perhaps, but a 2nd year mainline FO can pass 20 year RJ CA Pay if they work hard; a 3rd year mainline FO will pass RJ CA pay on their base pay.

I wish 737 pilots got paid as much at 777, but they don’t because they don’t carry as many pax. It’s simple. Maybe go to a better regional that pays more?

there are envoy captains making over $500K, last year one made over $600K… that’s more than a lot of legacy captains. I made $200K working 8 months at PSA as a captain with bonuses. So would have easily hit $280K if I worked the full year… Piedmont and Envoy have 300% premium trips, at $212/hour that captains over 5 years are making, that’s more than a wide body captain makes at any legacy 😂 go home , you’re drunk.

and how much SCC did Envoy have last year? And how much you think they will have in 2025?
counting that is a fools errand.
Normal OT at Voy pays 150%, critical coverage (rare) is 200% and SCC is 300.
