Just saw a FedEx feeder guy at KSBP wearing a big REI backpack, but he also had pants the wrong size and looked like he had just woken up. It was 4pm.

Not very professional looking IMHO

Man there sure are alot of bitc*y fashion police on here. So this is the word around the salon? backpacks arent chic? its a backpack tons of people wear them these days.

And he had probably been on duty for about 16 hours at that point or just had his layover in the office/trailer.

In the 70's did we carry our books to class in a backpack? No. Why? Because there were no small day packs.

Maybe the FDX guy just got off a 12 hr leg through 7 times zones.

I'm not sure I agree with carrying two rollaboards and a flight kit on a 5 to 10 day international trip, just so passengers that just paid $39 for a ticket will admire me.

For those of us that commute, backpacks fit under the seat freeing up overhead space on the passenger flights and while operating the freighters it helps save space, since bag space is limited to start off with.

Unless your company forbids them do what you want. Give me a bunch of backpack carrying guys who can fly anyday over some dude who doesnt have a hair out of place that cant find the cockpit......
