I'll take care of the other two chiming in for you.

"Commuting justifies my backpack"
"XJT is better than Colgan"

Man, you know I gotta defend my home, no matter how dumpy it may be. Third, funny signature. He really knows that airplane.

That WC is apparently the busiest and most profitable in their system. This according to a friend of mine who paid his way through college working for one and was managing one when he left. As a pilot he is yet to make as much or have bennefits like he did there.

The majors care very little about your regional history, as long as you get your PIC and don't get violated or fired.

In the old days, everybody flew props, and most regionals were all about the same. Today there are so many variations between carriers that there are any number of reasons for an FO to move.

If they even bother to ask why you moved, any reasonable explanation will do....

QOL
Upgrade opportunity
Turbojet experience
Pay
Mesa
Geography

The two things you you want to avoid are telling them are that you were asked to resign, or that management treated you poorly (if it was mesa they already know). If you whine about management, they will think that you might not be willing to put up with THEIR bs...

The REAL downsides to switching regionals are obvious...first-year pay and delayed upgrade and career progression. If the upgrade time is about the same either way, do whatever feels good.
