Default Summer Job at Mesa...

Here's are my random questions I'll probably get flamed for...

1. Is it possible to get hired at Mesa for 3 months (during the summer) while I go to college....with only an Instrument/Multi Commercial?
2. Would they hire someone for only 3 months?
3. What are the chances of being able to choose something like ORD as a base...which is a non-stop flight (1-2hr at that) from PVD (where I live)?
4. How long is the training for Mesa?

Don't really care what type of plane. E120s would be nice or CRJs would be even better.

Edit: This could also apply for Trans States and Piedmont

1. Yes possible however right now they are so backed up you wouldnt step inside an airplane for at least 4 months from training.
2. see above
3. no chance of ORD, youd be stuck at JFK
4. should be 2 months but right now its taking about 5
Plus youd owe them thousands of dollars for breaking the training contract.

Find a job flying traffic or something for the summer, not an airline job.

Finish up college and then come to the regionals. You have plenty of time.

I don't know which is worse, the fact that somebody thought it would be possible to get a summer job as an airline pilot or the fact that the industry's gotten bad enough to give birth to that idea.

Are you for real?? You think you're ready to fly paying pax on complex jets with no experience. Why don't you get a clue and stop posting on daddy's computer. Try mcdonalds for 3 months. By the way mesa doesn't hire comm pilots unless you're from mapd and they don't fly E120s get your facts straight.

Probably both haha. It's Mesa so you never know...

I've pretty much got a job secured at a small airline working at a station doing Operations and whatnot so I'm not going crazy.

Thank you for your post. You are a very kindhearted gentleman. I have a few things to say to you in regards to your post. Firstly, getting hired is the only way to learn these "complex jets" right? How else would I do it? Secondly, this isn't daddy's computer. I don't speak to my father and I built this computer myself. I've already worked at McDonalds when I was 15...and I've had worse jobs...believe it or not. Also, what is this "mapd" that you speak of? And about the E120s, I misread another post and thought they did. I was probably thinking about Skywest.

I look forward to more of your very indepth criticisms of me. Thanks for all of your help so far!
