If you have significant turbine or 135 time, expect the RJ. CFI, probably the brasilia.

I maybe got a little ahead of myself. I interview next week. I was just curious because I'm very interested in ORD and I know that the EMB is not based there. My wife has family in Chicago and we would both like to live there.

Welcome aboard.

Just met a guy in ATL that is a CRJ Captain with Pinnacle... he should be in your class.

My CRJ experience with a Feb 12, 2007 hire date is:

SLC: April 1, 2007, last sim ride.

SBA: IOE, April 8 to May 1.

MKE: May (picked up trips in SBA... some reserve in MKE and ORD) to June (got five 4-day trips!) only -200's

FAT: July four 4-days trips (no -700 or -900 flying)

SLC: Aug (bumped up from Sep) four 4-days trips, barely escaped reserve!!! Much longer leg trips with the bigger airplanes, meaning only 2 - 3 legs per day (sore *ss).

As of today, I have 6 months and 4 days at SkyWest.

The company is slowing growth, and there will be no new airplanes for the rest of 2007. But, folks keep leaving. Last month alone, 37 went to Southwest, so upgrades are still relatively fast.

YMMV

Other than the military and college I have lived in Milwaukee my whole life and can honestly say I have never seen a cow anywhere near the city. So IF I get the job is there a good chance I can get Milwaukee right out of the gate?

If you get the RJ, yes. If you get the Brasilia, you'll be screwed for a year.

I thought the seatlock didnt apply to the "newhire" out of groundschool? 99.9992342453% I'm wrong.

Will SKW ever get rid of the Bros anytime soon?

The manager of the EMB standards department told us in ground school yesterday that he sees them being around for at least 7 more years...then he was quick to point out that it wouldn't surprise him if they all disappeared tomorrow, too! For what it's worth, though, he said we can expect them to be part of the fleet for a while yet. Who thought it would be tough to make money with a jet on routes like LAX-OXR or ONT-LAX?:D

The seatlock does not apply to new-hires who wish to upgrade (if you have the flight time) ...if you just want to transition to another plane as FO you do have to wait one year.
