How long to hold EMB CA in PDX?

Can't predict what future upgrade times will be, but the junior CA in PDX is almost 3 years. To get 1/3 up the seniority list (where you might have some control of your schedule) is 7 years.

The EMB may not be around for long, so I wouldn't plan on that.

Good point. Do you think they'll keep the routes and bases and acquire a new turboprop? Doesn't seem like MOD-SFO, PDX-SEA, or PDX-RDM would be viable routes for an RJ.

Thanks for checking the senority list for me. Maybe the age 60 rule will kick some of those guys out of PDX! (j/k of course - it's a great base.)

The expectation is that some EMB routes will be replaced by RJ's, while others will be let go (maybe picked up by EAS contractors using small turboprops).

Thanks again for the info Rickair. Looking forward to flying with you someday. Are you a captain?
