Compass or Netjets
#2
If you're already in domicile then it's hands down NetJets. Can't compare a regional to them. Most posts seem to be " Southwest or Netjets?" or "UPS or Netjets?"
There is a post floating around from 6-8 months ago where an 8yr Netjets capt and an 8yr Southwest captain had a bet going to see who made more. At the time I think he(netjets) said he was up a few grand.

Well,
I think I have the answer for you....sort of. Compass just hired the last class of Direct Entry CA's. The rest will sit a couple months as F.O. before upgrading. The upgrade will still be much shorter than almost any other airline for the next 90 pilots or so but there will be any where from 2 - 12 months upgrade depending on how long before they are on property. Hope that helps.
Oh and as far as QOL....well we start service on the 18th...so it's kinda hard to say right now. We only have 2 of the a/c on property as Embraer is a little behind schedule. We have 80 pilots right now...do the math...not a lot of flying for anyone right now....but as long as the check arrives I don't care

Where you hired as a captain? and Are they flying two captains now? Are you on reserve while you wait? Call out times etc? Really can't afford to be an fo for more than a couple of months. Do you have to do any kind of work while you wait? Any info would be great got offered an interview, but was told 1-2 month upgrade? This doesn't sound right according to the info im getting from a couple of you guys over at compass. Any insight will be appreciated. Thanks
Hey xtreme did you work for mesa we might know somebody in common

-Right now both seats are CA's
-I don't know anyone on RSV but there are 2 RSV lines for bid
-2 hour call on RSV
-I haven't heard of any work to be done while waiting, could change
Upgrade time....I don't know but we are staffing at 5 crews per a/c and they are still saying they are going to type the first 180 people. We have 84 on the list as of today (8-16-07), of which I hear about 15 are mngmt pilots not flying. I would say most ppl coming on property today might sit a couple months as F.O. but not terribly long as the training will take up the first 60 days for ground/sim and who knows how long IOE will take.
