Default resume times

for my resume, is it best that i put exact times, or should i just round them up or down 10 instead of 9.9 for example?

In today's environment, if you get turned down by a company because you put 10 on your resume when you really only had 9.9, you probably don't want to be there anyway.

That said, if you have 542 or something, just call it 540. I put reasonably close whole numbers on mine, and I rounded down any time something was questionable. I speak from personal experience when I say that it sucks to be sent home after 5 minutes in an interview for an issue like that. Better safe than sorry.

Different airlines may look for different things, so list it all.

I would take off Dual Given and add on XC and Night. I could be wrong, but I doubt an airline really cares about how much "Dual Given" you got...I had 1400 hours of it and it never found a spot on my resume. I think they care more about what type of time you got while you were providing that Dual Given (i.e. the multi stuff, XC, night, etc.)

Differing philosophies on this one...if you just add all that stuff into one column and call it "Instrument" then you look a little more attractive than 3 separate columns with 3 smaller numbers. The resume is just getting you in the door, the logbook will explain your proficiency (hopefully).

If you really want to get your times precise, download the United Airlines time grid they want you to fill out. If you fill that out and it all matches up perfectly, you will have no problem filling out your resume or applications.

Be careful doing that...to many people "instrument" with no qualifiers means IMC in an airplane. If they invite you to an interview, they may not be happy to find out that you only have 7 hours of IMC instead on the 120 you claimed on the resume...
