I hated them cuz I think they look very very very very very...male flight attendant-ish...but then someone pointed out the versatility of being able to remove the name tag and the epaulettes. Now I'm ready to set my dignity aside in the name of packing lighter.

yeh sharky, then you'll stand out like a sore thumb pilot "wanna" be at the bar, lol.
TSA has em, but not many wear them. If they had them when i was a new hire, i woulda bought one, don't know if i'll go back to buy one now, and from what i've heard, they look like sh*t...something about the first company that made them, making a good product that cost good money, and the second company that made them, making a crappy product that cost good (but less) money.

SKW and Mesa allow them as options, and many folks use them including me. They don't stick out, especially since SWA wears a lot of them (I'm not sure if SWA even has a blazer?).

For all you taxpayers out there, a few years back my Army flight company was trying to get an exception to policy to wear the AF issue leather jacket versus the green nomex flight suit version. The leather jacket was about $120 versus $170ish for the nomex jacket and the cost was the big issue we brought up (even though we really just wanted to look cool like the jet jocks). We were told "No," so the taxpayers lost out because of army uniform policy.
