Default RAH Study Guide

OK. Maybe I'm blind, but I'm looking for the RAH Studyguide mentioned in the posts on Aviation Interviews. I scheduled a RAH interview on 8/30 and would like a heads-up on the written.
Also, any first-year FO's at CMH care to describe their schedules. I live in Columbus and would like to stay here.

Not to burst your bubble but that guide didn't help me at all. I'll see if I can find it. EVERYTHING was either the ATP written or the IFR oral guide. If you read the ATP written a couple times then know the IFR oral guide you'll be golden. Best thing out there. All that study guide did was make me waste time on info they never asked for.

We need pilots. Know your ATP stuff as mentioned above. Know your current airplane and Jepp charts. Don't be a douche. You'll probably do fine!

It is the Chautauqua link from the study guide list. As the gouges stated, some of the answers are incorrect.

I think there is a study guide there. Look under CHQ. There was one that was right on. It's not the one that begins with the UFO question though. Let me know if you have trouble finding it. I could post it here but I don't know if that is allowed.

Thanks for the info. Following the link above got the guide with UFO question. I'll use it just as is...A GUIDE. Reading the gouges on aviationinterviews, seems like the written has changed anyway.

I'm a CMH based 145 FO. We have 77 FOs on the September cover sheet for a projected 50-54 lines of flying. You can have just about anything you want in Columbus. I bid reserve for awhile to get my weekends off. In Columbus, you'll move up the FO list in base faster than other bases. There is also flying from all 5 of the codeshares that are served by the 145. This means lots of travel benefits. You can PM with questions if you like.

Lostboys...I just interviewed with them. The study guide with the UFO question was not what the written was based on. Here is what I remember...

Hold on the 060 bearing to the station. You are on the 090 bearing from the station. What is going to be your initial outbound leg?
What is the MAP on a non-precision approach?
What is the FAF on a precision app?
Where does the final app segment begin on an ILS?
What is the temp above if there are ice pellets on the surface?
altitude.
Super cooled water above when how do you know?
VDP, your MDA is 450agl with a timed missed approach point of 3 minutes when will you start down?
What does an ILS provide?
What is the visibility for a runway (METAR provided)? Something like: “R24/2400FT”.
Engine failure after V1 but before V2 what do you do?
Lose an engine after v1 with 7000ft of runway remaining what do you do?
Why do we have a longer takeoff roll with a tail wind?
Takeoff distance and groundspeed when hot vs. cold?
What happens to the IAS in the same scenario?
Taking off from Denver or Miami will indicated airspeed be greater, the same, or slower?
Taking off from Denver or Miami what will the takeoff roll and groundspeed be?
Convert Celsius to Fahrenheit.
F = C * 9/5 + 32
C = (F - 32) *5/9
Temperature at the SFC is given, what is it at 30000’?
Calculate pressure when pressure is 30.12 and field elevation is 1200
Winds are out of 210 you lost your left engine what runway would you choose 18, 36, 30, or 12?
When does an aircraft provide the most wake turbulence?
What wind conditions can influence wake turbulence the most?
Slight quartering tailwind.
If you are on final behind a heavy jet rolling for takeoff, where should you tocuchdown?
Land before his rotation point.
Descend from altitude to another by 10NM form a VOR, when would you start down?
What color are taxiway leadoff lights?
Decision Altitude is in MSL or AGL?
How far do approach lights extend out from threshold?
What converts AC current to DC?
When will a compressor stall most likely occur?
Two airplanes are traveling 50 miles apart the first aircraft is at .76mach and the second is at .86 mach when will they catch each other?
What determines the speed at which hydroplaning will occur?
DME arc question, it’s a 10dme arc and you have to figure out the distance along the arc from a fix until you incept the final approach course.
There was a high alt. performance question something to do with thrust or fuel burn?
What effects would moving weight out of the aft cargo to the forward cargo have on performance?
Holding speeds:
 0-6000’ 200 KIAS
 6001-14000’ 230 KIAS
 14001’ > 265 KIAS
How much of the CVR can you erase?
Total of no more than 1 hour of oldest data but can’t cut into the most recent 30 min.
What rate of decent is required to maintain a 3 degree glideslope if your groundspeed is 160KIAS?
What determines the most desirable cruise altitude for a jet aircraft

The sim is a barron. It is based out of IND. The guy will give you a holding clearance and have you t/o and fly to the nearest VOR and hold. You will lose radar contact. Then you will be cleared direct to the LOM-ndb and fly the full ILS approach. The key here is COMMUNICATION. By the time the needle started to swing I was already at full scale deflection on the ILS. I am not use to NDB so this was my fault. ATC informed me that "radar was back" and gave me vectors with a 90 degree intercept for the ILS. I should have queried ATC. After blowing through it again. He gave me ventors INBOUND to the ILS and told me to do a course reversal at the LOM. I should have spoken up here too.

They are looking for communication and CRM skills more then ATP flying.

Hope that helps!

As for the interview portion. Mostly HR not technical at all. But study anyway.

You never know what they are going to ask or what version of the written you may get.

Basically he's saying it was the IFR oral guide.
