MIA only has the ATR. There are some ERJ that go through there but there is no base. I am out of LAX and we are finally getting caught up on staffing. They added a few more lines for SEptember.
Whacker if you have the mins and want an interview, PM me and I can get your info and call HR Directly.
Rofzu,
Also PM me and I if you want I can call them for you or if you need anything let me know.
I like it a lot except for my commute. I only spent 1 month on reserve and out of ORD people are getting a relief line straight out off of IOE.

I have 567TT and 62ME with my 4/year, CFI/CFII/MEI. I have a buddy that's been with Eagle since March 2007 and he's checking on whether they might let me slide with the 62ME.

I'd hate to get brought down for an interview if they're just going to waste everyone's time by hiring me under the contingency that I have to get 38 more multi-engine before my class date.

I'd love to work for Eagle, but if they won't hire me...I'll be headed for Mesaba.

What does everyone else here think?

In my opinion, go somewhere that offers the best quality of life for you. Do you just want a quick upgrade and are willing to put up with a lot of BS? Go to Mesa/SKYW/the regional of the day. Do you want to live in base and be home more often? Find a regional that you dont have to commute for.

I would say after looking at all the 4-year colleges/universities and other programs that AE has "agreements" with......I have yet to find ANY that offer a Total ME time of less than 100.........so I think you better go on and apply with another carrier.

All the "agreements" I have seen posted on different web-sites, only show the Total Time being lowered by Eagle, not the 100 Multi Time....

Best of luck where-ever you end up!!!!!

That's why I've chosen Eagle and Mesaba. Truthfully, I don't believe in "quick upgrades". For awhile now, I've thought that the only airline that would possibly offer me the quickest path to PIC turbine time was the only airline for me. Through the guidance of friends and the people here, QOL has the most importance to me.

I just want to know if there is a remote chance that AE will take me with less than 100ME. I've already spent $64K on getting to where I'm at and it would be senseless to accumulate another 38 hours of ME when another regional (Mesaba) with a similar QOL situation for me will take me now.

Mesaba and AE are not even in the same ballpark as Mesa...etc.

if you still refer to your flight time with the exact single digit at the end, it means you should go get more time

I see your point and well taken. My AE buddy talked with AE HR today and they said they might be willing to waive the 100ME if I was closer......say, within 5 hours....but, not 40 hours. I would likely get a letter saying, "Thanks, but try again when you have 100ME."

That's really a bummer for me. There's just no easy way to get 40 hours of ME in southern WI. In hindsight, I should've stayed in MN and instructed at my school. I thought that there would be an abundance of students at MSN, but I soon discovered that there was no relationship between the flight school and the University the same way that there was with Mankato, MN.

My friend is going to do a little more checking, but if the worst case scenario is that I end up going to my 2nd choice, I'll make the best of it. It's wierd having friends at both airlines trying to sell me on coming to their respective companies....almost like they have a reason to get me hired. (hint hint).

evh,

I'm sure you were giving us those exact numbers because you were updating your resume and such based on actual, accurate numbers.

Good Luck, I was in your shoes not too many years ago.

I didnt do a bridge program or anything, dont have a degree either. Im at a 121 supplemental cargo company at the moment and i was told to call Eagle back in another 100hrs to get an interview. At that time i will have 650TT and 250Multi.....so the minis are on a case by case basses but you MUST have the 100multi.
