Its ironic how in the other thread I started, we're talking about how the company doesn't really care for their employees either. Thats right, its a business to make money for the top dogs who "worked hard" to get there.

Think of each passenger as a portion of your paycheck and I guarantee you will never get stressed out about something like this again.

"My paycheck is hot back there. Let's get the engine started soon!"

In the atr with eagle down in puerto rico it was routinely over 110 degrees in the cabin and cockpit and they would never even think about getting an aircart that works. For some reason the passengers never complained even though you could count on at least one passenger a week passing out from the heat.

Saab, just remember that people like that will pull the same bull at chili's, at the store, everywhere - it's who they are. Every other one of your pax left with a bad impression of HIM, not you. It's amazing that people can get through life like that.

PS. I was slightly annoyed that our company had this airplane is use, it is August, mid-afternoon and the Rampers in EWR could care less if the Aircart was working etc...............the point is, We did what we could do help the situation we were hot too, and I just didnt appreciate the rude comment at the end................... (The heat in the airplane was nothing compared to what I experienced in the SAAB in LGA last summer............................)

Yeah the SAAB gets pretty hot. I think keeping the temperature down is a matter of safety, especially down here in IAH. However, DGS is doing a pretty good job making sure we get the air hooked up as soon as we park, I even saw them close a parking spot because it had a broken air cart. Wow, I never thought I would say DGS is doing a good job. They will still break the sh!t out of your luggage though.

Great attitude!

I feel the same way & while airline management is maligned (and for good reason) it's the passengers that pay our salary.

So guys like this have a bad life or are distracted by something else that you don't have control over - it's not your problem! I do the best to do my job & beyond that I treat them like water and just let it roll off.

Being that the SAAB's do not have APU, I hate places like LGA in the summer. You will never get an air cart or GPU so the plane is 100 degrees as soon as the paxs come on. We can start #2 for a minute but have to kill it for push. So as the LGA ground crew slugs around it is burning up in the cabin. Meanwhile the paxs want to know why the mean pilots shut down the engine and air.

We had an infant on once, and I mean just popped out a few weeks before. It was so hot that the FA had to soak some napkins in ice for the baby. I dont mind being hot but babies, come on.

If only we had a prop brake

Yes! Every flight looking at all their faces and seeing the garbage all over the airplane floor. Don't worry, soon you'll be cargo bound. :D
