Not that I've ever heard of. Grants are usually for education...flight traning is probably more vocational.

If your a student at a university that does flight training it can be part of your tuition/fees and makes you eligible for loans and grants if you qualify. However you have to be poor and a non dependent (married or over 23) to get much. The are more details then that, but that is the only way i know of to get govt. grants for flight training.

I did all of my flight training through Illinois while finishing my undergrad and got plenty of free money from the state. That is the only way I know of getting grants.

If you happen to be a child of a disabled veteran Indiana State University Pays 100% Tuition and Fees including all the flight fees. Those kids had it made.
