150 Aircraft
So using the numbers off of APC it looks like we have 150 aircraft. So does anyone have a rough guess as to how many crews Comair needs per aircraft?

I don't think we are near 14 CR9 and I think ASA is getting 8 more CR7 from us, but we will keep at least 15 CRJ7s. As far as the cutbacks and layoffs go, I guess we just have to wait and see. SkyWest just got a huge reduction in flying out of SLC, and I think that *******t will continue to spread east with more cuts in CVG and ATL next. |

"Q. After these changes, what will our fleet look like? A. When the anticipated fleet changes are complete, Comair’s complement of aircraft is expected to be as follows: 13 CRJ-900s (The 14th CRJ-900 will be delivered in the first part of 2009) 15 CRJ-700s 86 CRJ 100 and 200s 114 total aircraft (by the end of 2008) Keep in mind that these numbers are an estimate, as the specific number of aircraft in our fleet can fluctuate based on market demand, scheduling decisions made by our mainline partner and many other factors." I thought I heard somewhere that we need to staff about 6 crews per aircraft... not sure if it is correct or not... (6*2*114=1368 pilots) |
[quote=Diver Driver;296917]This is copy and pasted from the Q and A with Selvaggio:

I know the new numbers haven't come out yet but it looks like we will have a freeze for another 4-5 months using 30 pilots per month. I'm trying to stay positive here but I keep hearing "Iceburg, right ahead"! |
Freeze is fine just dont say the other F word

Thats like saying, "When airport construction is complete,...." As CCR said "Someday never comes." :) Scoop |
