We are still interviewing, but classes are on hold until further need and at a loss of about 30 pilot/mo., the 'new hire class freeze' would continue until we are at adequate staffing levels where hiring would start again to offset attrition.

The furloughs are probably going to be in line MX and the FA group as there is little attrition there.

SYR all month, are you one of those new FO's who has a cd line? :)

Wassap! Better than what I did today, got up at 4am in BGR, over to BOS 1600RVR for the T/O... Plus, no FMS.. I'm lazy and hate short flights... I guess we took all Big Sky's BOS/BGR runs... feel bad for those guys...

That's probably me... they took tomorrow's repeat BGR/BOS off my line, but have one more later this month. I'm CVG based btw... I thought you were JFK, so it might be someone different.

Funny thing is the memo says Delta will cut 10 mainline aircraft, and 35 RJ's. So when we give up almost half.....WHAT'S UP WITH THAT!?!?

And at what point will this occur?

Well.... losing about 30 pilots/mo, sitting 14 planes... I dont know how many people we staff per aircraft, but probably anywhere from 2-4 months? It depends on how long they want the drain open.

How do you guys know how many people are leaving Comair.

TristarJS30 01-09-2008 06:38 PM

... I thought that was what everyone was discussing... ?
