Who wants to take a stab out how things are going to go on when we remotely use concourse C as remote gates during this transition? Crews aren't going to make it to the planes on time and operations is going to ask why a flight couldn't be turned in under 30 minutes. Sounds to me like they are blaming everything on the evening flight bank, but really it's just another blow of smoke to further hide more flying coming out of Comair. The schedules are already reduced and Delta has pretty much pulled most of its flying already out of CVG. When they talked about us moving over to A and B they stated that we would be doing this by adding jet bridges eventually as the main point was to customer service. Do you think the airport or Delta is actually going to pay for more Jet Bridges? I don't! But instead I see them shrinking us to where are fleet is of a size that can properly fit in the system.

Another genius idea. This place is turning into ATL and JFK is terms of operations. This last trip, I had a few planes changes with 30 minute turns where we arrived at Concourse A or B and then left out of C. We left late every time. By the time you get your crap of the plane, walk to the shuttle bus, wait for the bus and set up for the next flight, it'll take at least 45 minutes. I'm surprised we haven't started parking in the remote area by the trailers, kinda like Pad 11 in JFK. What a cluster CVG is turning into.

As far as Concourse C goes. I wonder if they are still trying to find someone to move into it. I know Southwest will announce service to a 3rd major hub next year (already announced MSP and LGA). My guess is the 3rd one will either be CVG or CLT, or something completely off the wall.

Here's a fun little poop chuter from the kids upstairs in the GO. Buddy of mine got canned earlier this month. Came in on a Monday, HR pulls him aside around 4 that Monday afternoon. "Your position has been eliminated. No need to come back." This after 18 years with good ol' Skooter.

Buh bye.

Circling the ****ter I tell ya.

18 Years. There is the problem. They are cutting off all of the high cost employees. Possibly they are comparing positions between Comair and Carrier X and which ever one has the cheap employee keeps that job.

The Management staff at this airline has absolutely no class. If you are required to give them two weeks notice, they should equally be required to give you two weeks notice.

Are you serious? You've forgotten Comair is based in Kentucky...a place where there are more handguns in vehicles' gloveboxes than proof of insurance cards.

It's far better to just boot them out so the initial shock prevents them from doing something violent.

The airport is not building more jet bridges. the pax go down a jet bridge, and into this winding network of steel to thier a/c in the elements. yes, it is a huge cluster.

They are getting rid of high cost employees, so be careful out there.

Actually indeed you are correct. They aren't building new jetbridges, just replaceing the ones that are not in use over at the A term and there are two over at the B term that are not in use. All those walkways at the A term are going away. When the additional schedule reduction and new bank sytem go into effect every aircraft should be able to utilize a jetbridge. Delta made it perfectly clear that every jet bridge remains as it was (able to accept mainline jets at any time) before we took them over.
