Anyone know what Boone License is on the deductions portion of the check stub?

i guess it is a little late for this now...but if you grumble long and hard enough maybe something can change for you guys. i think h46bubba is dead on with what he has said in the previous post. i havent seen anything myself in the contract about scope/award restriction. i got this from a friend who is a fo at comair. click on the link

Micheal E. Groschopf

i talk to friends at comair regularly and they keep me updated. since i think i am the only one of the bunch that visits this forum i will voice it out.

i think at this point all you guys can do is sign a petition to put in a new group of elected officials, which will elect the new mec. someone that will actually work with our management. obviously the crew in there now is doing nothing to satisfy the "majority" of the workforce. comair is near its end unless someone steps up. from what i hear this guy can get it done. let the revolution begin...

Why wasnt there a bigger deal made of voting for a new MEC??

TristarJS30 11-21-2008 03:44 AM

Because the people who got to vote are the only ones that didn't want a change.

By the way, it's taken me a while, but I finally "got" your screenname... Absolutely hysterical man!

Going2BGR 11-21-2008 05:07 AM

Glad some have picked up on it.....btw....can we do a vote of no confidence in the MEC's leadership???

Well, unfortunately I found out too late that MG and DW were trying to get into the MEC. This is the first I heard of it (after the vote). I don't think I have my head in the sand but I also haven't been through ops in 1.5 weeks. I wasn't going to volunteer for the position so I didn't much see the point in contacting my rep, perhaps i should've.
Both are top notch guys. DW is a walking encyclopedia of airline business stats and trivia. MG has worked for years in many union positions and is focused on upholding the contract. Wish I had known about this sooner.

I second the vote of no confidence in our current MEC.

Since our agreement has no provisions Comair pretty much is prohibited from any growth hence the reason the last 900 went to Mesaba. Keep in mind this is the bare bones of this and i have no other details as this is Attorney cr@p, but you get the jest. Not to spread more gloom but do not count out yet another displacement in the near future....I'm batting 1000 on my info from source so I am hoping I am WRONG on this one. Good luck to everyone on their respective transitions including myself.

p1ayn,

I'm not sure about the flow through agreements needing to be in place for Comair's growth but even if that were the case, I don't think we're talking about growth. We're talking about just a return to where we were. Someone else did a nice job of breaking down where this company was a few short years ago and I have to say the future doens't look good. Furthermore, if your prediction comes true regarding further downgrades and furloughs, then this place is done in short order.

We'll see what the new guy brings to the table. (I'm still confused on what to call him. NG4, NG3......we need to take a poll.:D)

BTW: someone posted that the last CRJ900 going to mesaba was a shot acros the bow. So what you're telling me is if our union went back to the table and said UNCLE UNCLE we would see all sorts of growth?

Or are we not allowed to have zero confidence in soap?

Or maybe its those pesky stickers that keep appearing on flight bags?????

just curious,

if you were the MEC, what would you have done different?

This isn't flame....just wondering if anyone other then Atlanta has any real ability to change the fate of this company.
