I am substitute teaching and helping coach baseball at the same high school (my alma mater!). I'm lucky to have a wife that works, so we are able to make ends meet on her salary. While I miss flying, I don't miss getting abused by a company that could care less about me and my well being. That said, I'd take the recall if it ever came!

Knowing Comair, they would furlough 50 more pilots and in that same day, announce they are recalling 348. Back to your regularly scheduled program.....

I can't wait to see how this bid get awarded. There probably will be people who quit over this sending 14 year captains to jfk. The senior ones who get displaced will be a blast to fly. JFK ops is gonnal blow with that many people(you know they won't get a bigger room).

I would recommend that everyone that can listen in on the next net conference. This bid is being run twice, but you only bid once. First it will be run as a reallocation(voluntary move to JFK) and then as a displacement. Only those pilots being displaced bids will count. Correct me if I am wrong, but it really doesn't matter what a JFK FO bids for. They are going to remain a JFK FO. It will be interesting to see how many current CAs bid back to FOs. I sense you will see quite a bit of this and I don't think those open CA seats would go to 1st time FOs, but will go to Prior downgraded CAs.
