Chapter 1: "Their jets sure are shiny!" "JFK Rocks!" "Reserve isn't bad at all."
Chapter 2: "They can kiss my ass if they think I'm going to sit in a parking lot waiting for a page." "Scheduling is evil."
Chapter 3: "Wow, we're hiring 200 more this summer. Comair is the greatest airline ever." "Maestro is a great system."
Chapter 4: "What? We're not getting Freedom's airplanes?" "What? Furloughs?"
Chapter 5: "All these senior guys should work less so I can get my job back."
Chapter 6: "All these senior guys should quit because they cost too much money and they're keeping me from upgrading/returning from furlough."
Chapter 7: "I'd be happy to sleep in JFK ops if I could just come back to work." "I'll do anything to fly airplanes for you Delta."
Soon to come Chapter 8: Contract negotiations.

It's actually quite an interesting read from start to finish...

You mean the negotiations that will start in March 2011? That's still two CEOs from now.
The way stuff happens around here, negotiations will be Chapters 43 to 54, not Chapter 8. But there is a fair chance that two of those Chapters will have happy endings.

Maybe a Mesaba/Comair merger can be called "Mesair" Surely it will be a mess.

I believe the negotiations start in 2010. The contract is amendable in 2011.
