  • Non-Precision Appr. (CANPA, Green Data, NO FMS) to Missed
  • Hand Flown ILS
  • Hand Flown Single-Engine ILS
  • V1 Cut
  • V1 Stagnation
  • Windshear on T/O
  • [font=Century Gothic]TCAS RA and maybe a CFIT
  • Visual Appr. w/ Tailwind into short runway
The MV is not bad at all. My CA called in sick, so I had another instructor as my NFP. Hardest part for me was getting used to the Sim again. My MV lasted <1 hr. Review Section 7 in your FSM and you'll be good to go! Have fun!

Driver,

How did it go?

Well... at least Delta has plans for Comair to stay around until June anyway...

Boston to MSY, MYR, YQB and YYG starting May and June.

So shall we start spreading rumors about a BOS base again?

I wonder if the New Orleans trip will be on something other than the 50?

The more I stay in this business the more I realize that Regional Jet means the whole North American Region.. Geezz this is clearly a mainline route who wants to be stuck in the back of an RJ for that long, oh wait a min the person who wants to pay the least

MV went great! Like I said, hardest part was getting used to the sim again. The LOE was fine. I was on my own during the oral, since CA was "sick".

Yes, all the profiles are the same. MV is done at BWI. Your LOE will be BOS-YUL. My LOE was fine. I always worry about the Orals, but it wasn't too bad. Know your Limitations and Memory items. Also, make sure you are solid on Weather, I've heard of a CA and FO bust on that. As F/O, read the Performance section, know the Runway Analysis Manual. Basic System questions of Synoptic pages.

Flight: BOS-YUL. F/O is PF, CA is NFP. Do whatever you do on a regular flight. Know your procedures and callouts and use good CRM. You will either get a HYD SYS 1/3 failure and/or Flaps Fail. Not bad at all.

PM me if you want a complete gouge!

**Latest Rumors heard:***
According to Slevaggio/ALPA MEC Chair/Sim Instructors, we will become very busy on the 70/90. Whatever that means. I've heard possible planes from Pinnacle.

Get more 70/90s? Didn't they delay the last 90 we were supposed to get like a year?

Not sure. I think we've got about 7 or 8 flying around right now. I believe we are schedule to pick-up another one at the end of March, with the last one arriving February 2009.

I thought Pinnacle had a 10 year contract. I think the Pinnacle CR9s based in ATL. Would this mean that Comair would open an ATL base?

IF there is any truth to this rumor, that is not necessarily the case. We fly tons of flights out of BOS and have no base there. I remember several years ago, we flew tons of ATL and DFW flights without a crew base there, in fact, the hotel we stayed at in ATL was practically all Comair. We could just as easily start and end trips in CVG and still fly through ATL all day long. No different than our flying in the Northeast now. We are CVG or JFK based and fly in and out of BOS all day long.

Quite honestly, this is the first time I've heard this, so I'll believe it when I see it.
