So we get some news late last week and then have to go through a long weekend with tons of questions and scenarios and now it's Tuesday and no one has any news!?

Heyy DD, I think it could however I am going evaluate certain scenarios and weigh pro's an cons. I need the money thats a huge Pro but there are other factors involved.
Vacancy bid is first on Friday then followed by a displacment bid. We'll see how it pans out....nonetheless I hope this brings you back

we should know more late this week or on monday. MP said in his email that June 2nd there will be a conference call to all furloughs at 8:30pm. So i think you can wait one more day.

I wonder if they are going to open DTW in stages. Like 1/2 the pilots Aug 1 then the rest Sept 1 (and vice versa for JFK, 1/2 leave on Aug 1, the rest Sept 1). It seems like doing it all at once is a bit much.

That would be cool - displace 500 pilots over the course of two months, and each one asks for his contractual three move days, which totals some 1500 days off...

In other words, 25 pilots off on any given day during those two months - in addition to regular days off, sick calls, and vacations.

Sounds like standard DCI operational efficiency to me.
