You'll be glad to know that my bid was conditional at 50%. I called crew planning and they told me I was actually sitting at 41%. Good to know!

As far as Miami, I had the fortune of overnighting there a couple of years ago when we were still flying in there from MCO on the 50. I have to admit, in the words of Borat, it was "Very Nice".

Alright, what's the deal with these new green sheets? First off, we should have had something like that a long time ago. Second, I don't want to carry that crap around, I have enough stuff in my flight bag already. They should do it like SkyWest and put it in a little book and have it in each airplane. Would save a lot of money instead of handing out 500+ sheet to over 1,400 pilots. But what do I know, I'm just a little pilot...

They actually did have them about 4 years ago, then they discontinued them...apparently someone decided to resurrect them. I agree...I have enough paper already as it is, the binders can only hold so much!

Until someone can show me in the OPS manual that I have to carry them, they will stay in my v-file...which is beginning to remind me of the garbage chute on the Death Star in Star Wars.

//rant on

This morning, scheduling calls me after I wake up and shower to tell me that I need to report 1:15 later. So I go back to sleep and the FA bangs on my door at the original report time and wakes me up. Um, could you possibly have called scheduling instead of bothering me?

Then we get to the airport to operate a LGA flight. Sched had taken me off of that and moved me to a CVG flight w/o notification. No captain. He's DH in at 10:30 for the 7 a.m. flight. The captain that flew in with us yesterday was DH back to CVG last night for no reason. So it ended up being a 4 a.m. wake-up for an 11 a.m. flight.

Now there will be two CVG flights departing at the exact same time. The flight went from 50 pax to 4. Almost everyone was rerouted on Eagle. How much did that cost?

I know the feeling.

Perfect example of our ancient scheduling system wasting money yet again. There is so much operational waste at Comair but, they come after the pilots when they need $$.

Default Comair is worthless--too many 50 seaters

Well there's something just genius! Why then did Delta decide to give so many 70/90 to other DCI's?

What a tool!

I hear ya.

Here's hoping that they actually implement the new scheduling system.

They'll probably by the SE trail version that expires in 90 days.

I have been saying for the last 4 years on how the efficiency here has gone to crap. Seven years ago this company was a machine on how it operated, now we survive on legend it once was. Yesterday, while DH from cvg to tul, we taxied out to 18L, number one for TO we stopped just short of hold short line. WHOOPSS, scheduling forgot our FA!! We taxied back to the gate to get our FA which btw, after looking at her sched. had 5 DH IN A ROW including this one. Yep efficiency at it best. She worked our flight back to cvg, guess what..FA on rids..she DH to stl...Improve the system and stop asking for handouts from the very workforce that allows this airline to operate safely on a daily basis.
