I heard from my neighbor's dog's half roommate's owner that because the training department has been so slammed over the last year, more so several months back when they were running large classes every other week, that they couldnt afford for new hires to dequal and go back in the sim due to sim availability. New hires under 100 hours are still sitting ready reserves/call windows, etc, but scheduling is treating the exclamation point as a sort of 'super bid to fly' mark to get them quald.

Sup with this? From our MEC:

This submission comes from a pilot that had a very short stay at Comair.
“After working the holidays with 15 days on with 2 days off,
I was starting my third 6 day trip. After completing an out and back to BOS,
I was physically fatigued.
I was very close to being maxed out at 30 in 7 from flying so much.
I was so tired that I called in fatigued once I got back to Cincinnati.
Keith Stamper chewed me out because he couldn't understand how someone who had
only been at Comair for 11 months and 25 days could call in fatigued and he put
CP on my line.
I can't figure out what tenure with the company has to do with fatigue.
Brad Beall was assigned to my case and never even took a statement from me.
After a very short period of time Steve Briner decided to terminate me.
I have to wonder if the chief pilots really care about the rank and file,
their safety or the safety of their passengers?”
Usually I think these are pretty accurate, but I'm not sure if I'm getting one side of the story. Like the guy that got terminated for calling in sick for his own wedding. But he was also on the "list" for abusing sick calls before. BTW, do probationary pilots get union protection, or is it pretty much, your outa here for something like the above statement? (4 for days till my anniversary!)

With Mr Anderson coming out with a new plan this week, what does everyones "magic 8 ball" say?

I see a big stick coming and there's a shortage of KY! I see us getting the shaft again and parking more than just the 6 50 seaters.

Well fuel is up 80% over last year, and Mr. Anderson has already stated several times that they were going to reduce the number of RJ's (especially the 50 seater) to compensate. I forsee more jets getting parked, and some sort of new program to pass along the fuel costs to the customers. They may even cut more routes from their scheduled service.

I did find one comment especially spot on.....We have no energy policy in this country except for jawing OPEC.

Andy you are picking up the trip I am on I think. I finish today in Cinci and my captain deadheads to Tulsa. I am legal to finish it if they wanted too.

Did anybody ever figure out why we have those stupid greens sheets or if we are required to carry them?

Hmm, so any idea why they pulled you then? Probably just the usual Comair wisdom. The 4 day that i was on is just chilling in open time now.

Okay, I've been scratching my head over this one. Can't quite seem to figure out how the math worked here:
For next month, I bid, in this order: L1, L2, A4, A3
For next month, I got A4. That's reasonable.

Except, 3 guys junior to me got L1 and L2. Am I missing something here? I have a few vacation days next month, would that have anything to do with it?

It's a JFK trip, they threw me on the middle 2 days of it and guess don't want me to break 75 hours so they wouldn't give me the rest.
