I think most people may be jumping the gun with the whole 300 pilots being furloghed. Its 300 staff that need to go(re-read the memo). While i do believe a large portion may come out of the pilot group in reality no one is safe. MX is being offered CLA's displacement notice is about to come out. MEC and MGMT sitll need to work out early buyout, COLAS, and voluntary F, so we should probably quit speculating and wait a week or so and find out what is really gonna happen. So you dont have to go back and look it up, here is the excerpt from the email: We are still making minor adjustments to the number of pilot and flight attendant displacements, but the fall flight schedule calls for substantial reductions - 300 pilot positions and 220 flight attendant positions. For pilots, the displacement bid will affect both CVG and JFK CRJ captains. However, we expect the largest impact to be in our JFK base for both work groups. |

how much flying did you get in july and august compared to when freedom was flying? ive read comair didnt get any more flying then they did last summer (correct if thats wrong). 20 lines in september is not a whole lot of flying. def does not equal the 200+ furlough your talking about.

Correct me if I am wrong, but the union's email today makes it sound like they are refusing to work with the company to assist with the furloughs?
