I just wanted to say, that whoever the scheduling "coordinator" on duty was earlier today, you are a moron! You are the reason of poor crew utilization today and flight delays. I was trying to help you guys out all freakin' day, and you guys were still too stupid to get it right. I enjoyed my 11 hr duty day for 1 deadhead flight, getting send to the wrong hotel and then see that you guys are spending $400/night for me to stay in this $hithole. This could have all been avoided today. Keep running the company like $hit, you guys are doing a fantastic job. If they try to JM any of you 70 guys today AND possibly tomorrow, I hope you will tell them to F-Off!

Idiots!

I wonder if it is the same scheduling coordinator that keeps illegally changing my reserve window? I also do not see how they are out of reserves, there are several of us that have only been used once so far this month, and one or two that still have not been used at all this month. Can't wait for next month when they go from 20 guys to 40 guys on reserve.

I know my contract very well and I do not need anyone to tell me to read it. I feel that the union is dropping the ball because they are not able to communicate effectively with management. I do not pay management every month to protect my job, I pay the union. I expect some service for the union not and email stating that they are no longer providing full service.

You are pretty clueless then if that is really what you think! There is so much going on behind the scenes that you (or me) are privy to.

Things are still being negotiated to mitigate furloughs. Believe me when I say this current MEC is committed to this pilot group; even more so than the last MEC.

I understand that you are probably frustrated with the whole situation, especially if you are on the furlough bubble and it's easy to point fingers, but they are fighting hard for the entire pilot group, not just the senior fellas or junior guys. And contrary to what you believe or how some people may have misread some of the communication, furloughs are the top priority.

When the 2005 furloughs came out, I saw no info whatsoever on Voluntary Furloughs. Who makes the rules for Voluntary Furloughs - company, ALPA, or must it be negotiated between the two? If Mgt does give us info this time, can ALPA enforce it or will it just be an empty promise?

And by the way........

There was all sorts of information about the voluntary furloughs, from both the company and ALPA. It was all over EPIC, on the VARS, letters sent to your home, e-VARS, etc...

About exactly who "makes the rules": it is negotiated between the company and ALPA, so I guess technically they both do.

God forbid they actually pay attention to someone on the front line. Nothing more frustrating, especially if it screws you over.
