You can $hit in one hand and wish in the other, and see which ones fill up first.

All that memo did was confuse me, and the COLA thing confuses me as well.

I don't know much about crew planning (and I don't think crew planning knows much about it either), but 9000 hours/75 = 120 pilots?

Is that good reasoning?

so hardly any cola's for sept, and then BAM all the furloughs oct 1st?????? i guess we will find out in this vacancy bid apparently comming out tomorrow right? so does this mean we have a job thru oct 1st or am i too confused by the memo...........i guess the vacancy could say a september date too

Did anyone hear that the reason we have lost so much flight time out of JFK is because the Courts Judge is going to give Freedom a 3 month trial to see if they can meet there contracted on time performance? So if that is true, we are getting screwed so Freedom can try to show that they can get the sheat straight! I think we should help them out by telling the ground crew that for the next few months they should work extra “JFK” like and take a nice vacation when ever a Freedom flight shows up at the gate.
Also I have noticed Freedom has been Positive spacing there FAs up from MCO to JFK and back, and they always PSUP, Upgrade to First Class knocking even the most senior Delta Capt to coach class, Bet Delta Crews love that!

Don't worry, I think DL is doing the right thing here actually. Give Freedom a bunch of flying and overload them in JFK and watch them fail, that way when it's time to go to court, DL has some hard numbers to show the judge. Yes, this does suck for us right now, but give it some time. I think this might work out well for us in a few months.

As far as the furloughs go. You guys just need to relax for now. There is nothing we can do. We just all need to keep doing our job and relax and wait until we see some concrete numbers from management and what they plan on doing. Some of the things might not make sense for now, but I am sure we will get some answers here soon. Personally, I don't think we will furlough 300 pilots. A lot of CAs will be affected by downgrades, which means too many FOs. My guess we will not furlough more than 200. Yes, some of us are on the edge of getting canned, but for now just remain calm everyone.

we picked up ground services for UAL so that is probably what that training position is for in ORD

you guys do realize that logic could severely backfire. all through the winter freedom was way understaffed with 36 birds. like several more lines then FO's. now that the roster is full, its not winter, and a half dozen of the ERJ's are flying for united over at TSA, i just think you guys setting yourselves up for a disappointment. dont get me wrong i wana see JO get hosed just as much as the next guy

Okay, I've got some tasty tid bits about the legal battle, but I need to finish looking at the court docs.:D

Update: Hmmm it seems that Mesa/Freedom management has a thing for erasing important e-mails. Delta has asked to re-deposition Bates and Serratelli who both have admitted to erasing e-mails that Delta requested prior to the injunction hearing. MAG has become defiant since the injuction was granted, as far as releasing pertanant information. Delta also asked for documents to prove MAG's claims that the would be forced to claim banckruptcy.

Not true. I scoured the injunction docs and no where did it give Freedom a 3 month trial. Pinnacle got a 90 day extension to improve their numbers.

So back to the COLA's and all that jazz. Is it safe to say that everyone is confused? Why so few cola's if we need to kick 300 pilots to the curb?
