Hey PhoenixFlood,

I remember reading your story on here when I was in training or shortly after.....just saw it pop up again on page 1. Little did I know that same guy is a computer genius who kept my MC from having a reformatting meltdown last week

First time I've run across this thread. Inspiring to say the least. Wishing you and your family much success. You are an inspiration - rather than give up and wallow in misery, you fought for your dream. Thanks for sharing.

logan, it has been a pure joy to see the progress you have made...from the questions and concerns you had on the 'new hire' section of rp.org, to sitting in the right seat of a 170, flying passengers all over the country. i'm thrilled that aopa is recognizing your achievements.

your story is truly remarkable. thank you for sharing it with us...

Absolutely incredible. I remember reading this thread when it was originally running, and truly could not be any happier knowing that your dedication, determination, and passion allowed you to realize your dreams in such a wonderful way. If I ever see you passing by in an airport, as a respected equal and colleague, I will certainly extend my congratulations and respect to you.

I'm glad AOPA picked up on this story in a time where the airline industry manages to discourage so many of its followers and participants. You are truly an inspiration to both the aviation community and, more importantly, your son.

excellent article. I can remember reading this thread way back when, i'm glad that you saw things through to completion. It's an amazing an inspirational story to say the least.

Also glad you got to be instructed by Mr. Cupp, he did a short stint as chief instructor at my university, and I had the privilege of him doing at least one stage check....remember him saying "That was real slick". Sure you heard much of the same, congrats!!!

You sir, are a inspiration. My brother is a left leg amputee from a birth defect, and I have watched the struggles it caused him on occasion in life. I have a great deal of respect for you because I have seen first hand the affects a disability can have on one's life. It appears to me that you are far from disabled, and if anything the accident enabled you to do something that I am sure most of us would not even have considered. To see your passion for flying, your dedication to not being held back because of a misfortune, wow man wow! You are certainly a hero of mine. Words can't express how amazing I think your story is. I can't wait to one day hear about you getting your getting that 4th bar back, like in your picture from the article.
