Yes...because as indicated TSA was a means to an end for POPA. He didn't accept substandard working conditions in the hope of a fast upgrade; he did it to gain experience and go to an airline that fit his goals better. His path and yours are different, so quit making it seem like you're morally superior to him because you "held out for a good airline".

I'm 110% sure POPA is less toolish than you make him out to be...although he is plenty toolish enough on his own accord.

Sorry yo, in the middle of a 3 day right now and we were busy getting stupidly long reroutes up and down the coast yesterday. Wanted to get out to the job fair...might still do it but odds are slim at this point.

Who you talking about that's over here? T.U.?

No, I'd forgotten he was over at AWAC now.
I was referring to the one and only MR J.S.

That's funny I didn't say anything. I believe all of us have the same goals for the most part. I also believe accepting a job at a place is accepting their working conditions when they are so widely known. Just found it funny when the two statements were so opposite of each other. Preaching to someone else to do something you couldn't do yourself... well that's just crazy talk.

I don't believe they were as diametrically opposed as you think...but on that point we'll agree to disagree.

Now maybe I'm just ignorant, but life doesn't seem so bad here at TSA. Some crews that have been here longer have had a different experience, but mine hasn't been all that bad, even during my reserve month. I'm an April 07 hire and I'm holding 16 days off with weekends off (after a minor trip trade with open time). Last month I had 15 off with weekends off. Scheduling is the biggest complaint, but if you're not on reserve it's not really an issue.

Ok one thing that's definately substandard is medical insurance, but that should be taken care of with the new contract (whenever that long road ends).

Second year FO pay is also substandard, but if you upgrade around a year or so... again not an issue.

Not saying TSA is the bomb, but I don't think it should be placed next to Mesa, who doesn't even have block or better. I'm sure the day I get furloughed from TSA my opinion will change quick and in a hurry, hence why the crews who've been here 2+ years have a different opinion.
