Dear SaabTrash,

Thank you for your reply! I very much appreciate it. I have 8500 hours and have been out of work for over two years now. I guess the bug never does leave you once you get it.

Also, I do not have 75 hours in the last 90 days. Do you think they would waive that under the circumstances

Thanks again!

Just apply and see what happens. I can't say if they will waive the 75 hrs in 90 day thing but with your 8000 hours, I wouldn't see why not. Experience counts and hopefully the HR will see it on your resume.

If I get hired, I'm buying the first three rounds. Maybe the fourth too!

the latest vacancy 05-05 shows a class starting May 2, so I believe the april 28th date is now May 2 (which makes sense since april 28 is a thursday).

18 New hires slated. 20 total upgrades...

Dropped off a few more resumes at the CP office and he stated that the forecast hiring is strong, but couldn't say why.

Something is going on.

I have heard, as I'm sure that you have too, that a big announcement is forthcoming. Nobody can talk until that time.

You are correct. It has been 6 weeks since this so-called secret meeting between management and our union. 6 weeks! The union acknowledges that talks took place but can not say a peep until Northwest, Mesaba or whoever makes an official "big announcement". So until then, we hire 20/month for whatever new airplane is arriving.

SaabTrash,

Do you know how long after a resume is submitted that Mesaba is calling for interviews?

Peace

It seems to vary. I've walked in two resumes and it took them a long time to call my friends. But then other people with no LORs or refs fax in their stuff and get a call 2 days later! lol so it's almost a crap shoot. 2 days to a month to maybe never. Who knows what HR is looking for. Good luck!
