What do you credit for the month?
I'm working my tail off here at SkyWest and admittedly don't have much of a life outside of work at the moment LoL...but working the system (and with a little bit of luck) I am blocking 99 hours and crediting 142 for the month...even on first-year pay that is a very nice paycheck. Conversely, during my short stint at Trans States I could expect to credit 95 hours w/a few more days off per month...
Just curious what one can expect to credit every month with the various Regionals...examples of being both pro-active, as well as lazy in regards to your schedule are welcome!

Out of curiosity, do you guys have rules in place for hours over your guarantee/100? And how many days off are you getting right now?
With regards to being lazy or productive, well, all I can say is that it's not about how MUCH you work, it's the quality of HOW you work.

You can expect to fly as much as you want at almost any regional. i have flown 95 block to 75 all by choice. however now that winter is approaching there will be some adjustments to the amount of time the company will let you fly. If the schedule everyone in the winter months to 95 hours, everyone would be timing out by the end of the month due to deicing, bad weather, delays, etc, etc. they will start to cut back your scheduled hours some to give them breathing room for winter operations.

Those arguments never made sense. If there are two guys. Each flying 75hrs and there is 15hrs left on the table. If pilot A picks up the 15hrs then pilot B never has to worry about it. Why do you want more people at your airline. I'd rather there be more flying per pilot available then less. When I was on reserve the few couple months I was hitting 90+hrs. Once CHQ hired all the FO's they were needing to get back to level I never broke guarantee again. If someone wants to pick up flying then let em. It's not hurting anyone. Those that complain about it don't pay anyone else's bills.
