Also, when I took off runway 23, instead of going right direct the brickyard vor, I went left. I still got there. He just said fly direct. Plus, my altitude was all over during straight and level. I nailed the procedure part, and the ILS made a nice cross the whole way down. You can definitely make errors. The guy even told me... "I don't even know why we use something like this for interviews... but we do. We're looking for procedures"

i remember my interview a year and a half ago. there were 3 121 guys and the rest were delta acad guys. they told us about the sime. all 121 guys were like...**** we best just go home now. you don't realize hour forget dead foot dead enginge. there was a mistake of the list of who was supposed to do it. i ended up being the last and fortunately it got the blue screen of death and they asked what i had been flying...121 beech 1900d for colgan...they were like you passed.

For recent hires - Were you asked airline preference, and if so, was it given? I do not want to fly for Chautauqua (however you spell it) just based on pilot bases. But they also fly the smaller aircraft.

HercDriver130 11-21-2007 01:27 PM

You should base your requests... ( in my opinion on QOL and basing ), what aircraft you fly especially as an FO at RAH ( its all the same pay ) shouldnt really matter. When I interviewed they did ask me which base I would prefer IF I was offered a position. Later KD confirmed to me that I was offered an S5 class date based on my preferences of bases. YMMV......

so you don't want to fly for chq cause of the "smaller aircraft"? you do realize the Fo pay is the same regardless?

iubball 11-21-2007 02:08 PM

No, I don't want to fly with Chq bc of the pilot bases (and I have heard that quite a few of the bases have non-commutable lines), I care a lot more about QOL versus aircraft size.
