In the end we are all brothers fighting for better work rules on the same team. I hope this does not cause a rift in the pilot group. I respect each and every one of you at the end of the day.

I will report back with the results tommorrow around lunch time. Good luck to all.

Thanks Carib. Fingers crossed. I respect each of your decisions, but only if I agree with them.

JK

Hope I could shed some light on some things

Out of curiosity, if the TA doesn't pass how long do you expect it will take to get it worked out? I have a number in mind, and its measured in years.

There is absolutely no way to know this yet. You'll find out after 10:00am Eastern tomorrow. Speculation does nothing

Yea i would think that also. My feelings (The Force) tell me that it would be at least another year and a half before the next battle is over for a new TA.

The TA has “Block or Better,” right? If so then problem solved. The riggings are for planning purpose so that you have guaranteed minimums.

Fly more…………get paid more! Fly less…………get paid more! It’s a win:win over what you guys/gals currently have.

I agree this could be a lot better!

It would be nice if credit’s counted toward your monthly guarantee, but if they did you could realistically have the following happen and to me it doesn’t make since.

Your basic reserve month is 20 days of reserve at 3:45 (guaranteed daily pay for sitting reserve) per day = 75 guaranteed hours. Let’s say they call and you work one day, fly 8 hours, (this is the only day you worked all month) for that one day you exceeded 3:45 by 4:15 (3:45 + 4:15 = 8 hrs) which when added to the rest of your month breaks your monthly guarantee. That means you would get paid 79:15 (75 + 4:15 overage) for the month while only worked one day, do you see the problem? If this is how reserves were paid then after working 4 or 5 days they'd make way more than line holders. I agree it would be nice but it makes absolutely no sense from a business stand point.

The only real conciliation would be that once you break guarantee ASA most recalculate all your current or future trips/reserve days and add all that credit you collected/will collect to your block. Usually at SKW the minute you break guarantee (75 hrs) your pay instantly runs up to 90 or so hours, easily. The true down side is if you’re sitting reserve and fly 74 hours (doesn’t break guarantee) then the company gets to pocket all your credits.

But I wouldn’t call this “bad.” Bad would be if reserves didn’t get their credits even if they broke guarantee based upon the simple fact they’re reserves.

I don’t want to start anything, I just don’t think this possible to win all the battles in a war. Some are just more important!

Good luck guys!
