I was reading the majors board and several Soutwest guys said that there is no way that an rj would be flying for them, and if they were they would have to be by swa pilots. he said their section 1 was pretty tight and didn't allow for it. so if this is true i guess neither pinnacle nor skywest will be flying for them anytime soon. unless there is a loop hole and we can whip saw the southwest pilots and take their flying...

The aircraft and the number I have heard (from a high source) is both amazing and unbelievable. However, call me crazy but I believe it. He told me about the DEN bro base closing 2 weeks before the rumors even started. I didn't want to believe him then.
Southwest
100 aircraft
aircraft type E190
1000 more pilots will be needed
I was told 60-90 days but Rickair sounds like he knows more than I.

Will never happen! Without any real pilot unity the EMB guys will always get sold down the river. Our pay policy was voted in by the RJ guys so that they could get their lousy 1% plus their "BS" BHO, NO QOL & NO real COLA!
BTW the only unity we have here at SKW is during a union or pay policy vote, 65% vote no (union) or yes (pay) and then go about their marry way. It’s nice to see fellow pilots sell out their T-prop brethren for a slightly better than industry average pay policy. The company knew that our RJ guys out numbered our Bro boys by nearly 6:1 and that they’d jump at almost any pay increase. Unfortunately that was good business by Mgmnt and SH**TY unity by the pilot group.
This pilot group has no balls!

I love how people love to talk **** on here because they know that nobody can find out who they are or where they are from. Simple fact is there will never be ALPA at Skywest, the ALPA union is getting smaller (US Airways) and will only continue to get smaller because ALPA helps nobody. Secretaries at ALPA make more than pilots, how FU**ED up is that? ALPA will get smaller, pilots at Skywest will continue to be happy and I will continue to say "I told you so". I love it!! Have a nice day!

early next year and won't have to worry about my 2200 mile commute anymore. The 2 1/2 hour drive to ORD will seem like a breeze! However, my Bro days will always be missed along with the great people that continue to fly it! Good luck to them in there uncertain future!

If that's the case I wonder how they are going to get enough people to fill those seats. So short staffed on the Brasilia I find it hard to believe they can add another codeshare and expect the operation to run smoothly

Aren't they getting rid of one bro per month for five months soon? I forgot when that is supposed to start. When I was on the Bro, we were short on the jet??? Where are all of the pilots going to come from? I assume we aren't the only airline having problems finding pilots.
