Southwest
100 aircraft
aircraft type E190
1000 more pilots will be needed
I was told 60-90 days but Rickair sounds like he knows more than I.
I've heard it from several sources too......though I think it is more likely we would use the CRJ-900 or CRJ-1000 when it comes out.....considering we are a huge Bombardier customer.

Can anyone say combined ORD/MDW domicile??

US airways and Jetblue both fly the 190. Why would Southwest choose not to fly the 190. Being Southwest is what has made Southwest. Why would they want another airline flying under there name to change that? 100 seat airplanes can make money. Someone enlighten me?

True, however, when the press release come out talking about parking the 120's it also said 4 76 seat airplane's. Most people thought it was SKW way of fighting a lower price with Bombardier, however, if this has some truth to it SKW could go with the E170. I'm sure the 170 and 190 have some common things?

Yeah it’s a new type of flow through. You get to fly a skyw plane with swa logos on it for 1/4 of the pay. Also you get the benefits of skywest corporate culture vs., swa. Do the swa pilots have any scope protection?

Personally I thing the chance of skyw outsourcing swa is less than
.000000001%

Well, Jerry may ask SWA to not hire so many SKW pilots...majors often like to hire from regionals which they have no relationship with, especially with a pilot shortage. That way they don't create extra training events (wholly owned) or tick off their junior partners (contract).
