Rickair,

Have you been hearing Southwest?

It makes sense to do something this week. Isn't it employee appreciation week?

I bid 20 with a decent schedule. I live in KC so I try for the 4 days that have 24hr break in KC so it feels like a two day followed by a one day. Not bad.

What is this big rumor?

So what have you been hearing? I haven't heard anything floating around over in the California system other than everyone wondering what is going to happen to SAN, SBA, SBP, and MRY bases when the EMB's start wondering off properety. PM me sometime with latest gossip you have heard please!

BTW, we just got a training skd from Brad today with the proposed training skd for the first 6 months of 08, anyone been hearing anything about seat locks? There seems to be only a few people on the list that is not seat locked until you get to March 5th, 2008. They are going to have to do something to fill their first 3 classes?

There is no seat lock, if they need you they will release you.

Southwest looking for a regional has been floating around lately. I also have a very good feeling that MCI will open up as a domicile some time. I have no idea when as I thought it would have happened by now. Those are the only two I know about. Judging by the stock price, I would say something leaked out. Not that insider trading happens on a daily basis...

not sure about any big announcements but i do know why skywest stock price has gone up.

anytime a company buys back stock its value goes up. the reason being is supply and demand. less common stock available, demand goes up, price goes up.

as far as southwest goes i thought we were going to be flying for them until the city shut us down. why else would we need 6 gates at love field.

I had heard that the Southwest flying was only between SkyWest and Pinnacle. If in fact Southwest is looking for a regional to do their, wouldn't that be a shock? Who would have ever thought Southwest would farm out their flying?
