WOW that is a bold statement. Do you know how many times "it will never happen" has been said in aviation especially about specific pilot groups. Never say never.

First of all I have been here two years and am not an FO. Second of all I plan on staying here for the rest of my career..why. because I am based at home, get 17 days off a month and love my schedule. Third my wife makes three times what I make so I could care less about pay, I want a job that I enjoy. Fourth....since I was injured and had my spine fused doing my previous job I receive duty disability and receive a paycheck from my previous employer (city government)and I will continue to do so for as long as I live. So basically I am going to do what makes me happy and this is what makes me happy. I am sorry you do not like happy people but there is no other way I would have it. If things got so bad where I didn't like my job I would leave and find something else to do, I don't need the money, I don't need the pension, I need to do what makes me and my family and happy and flying an airplane for a good company is what I am going to do.

Well, the stock went down around 12% in three days, so I guess there is no new news that I thought was the reason it went up in the first place.
I can't see the Southwest thing happening, but who knows. Talk to someone in 9/10/2001 and see what they would say if you told them someone was going to run an airplane into WTC. I still can't believe 9/11 happened. |

Brother what are you smoking, or what don’t you understand about a contract? I have not read the specific language, but the swa guys are not about to subcontract flying out when they dont have to. I.E. bk judge imposed. Even then, I doubt a judge would see any wisdom in that. Last I read our cpsm is very close to swa's..... (Correct me if I’m wrong on the cpsm)
Skywest will not be flying for swa period. I guess a remote possibility would be for SKW to start up a branded operation and then enter into a code-share with SWA...I'm not sure how their scope would address that (they are already doing it with ATA).. |

Your welcome buddy.
I bet you are an FO who has been at SkyWest for close to a year. If not, you sure sound like one. Life is wonderful, the flowers are blooming, the kool aid is great, etc, etc. Talk to me in three years and see if you still have that ignorant attitude.....oh wait, you wont be here in three years, you are going to get your 1000 Turbine PIC and get hired at UPS and be making 200,000 a year. My bad homie Are you mad at the young regional pilots without perspective, inexperienced 121 pilots, or SKW guys in particular? |

I don't understand what you are frustrated about bud. Perhaps you could start another thread that specifically talks about it. Nothing wrong with venting
Are you mad at the young regional pilots without perspective, inexperienced 121 pilots, or SKW guys in particular? I can’t tell you how many guys I talked with who really believe that when they get 1000 pic turbine, they would/will be snatched up at FedEx just like they were at skywest. Then I talk to guy's (plural) who have been sponsored by a fedex pilot, done the meet and greet have 4000+ pic turbine and have yet to get an interview. Those aforementioned pilots want nothing to do with making skyw or our industry a better place, only to get their pic time any way possible and step on as many backs as it takes. Then you have guys whose wives make good money or are trust fund babies who have no intention to improve our industry, they just worry about themselves period. |
66% of us think differently than you blablabla especially most of us that came from other alpa carriers.

Brother, I think I share some of his frustrations. Those being ignorance, and selfishness.
