The should toss a few 757s on those routes so they could get into LGA too but I don't know where they'd manage to get the planes from.

Yeah that military airspace is so congested with all of those fighter pilots trying to get home for the holidays that they have to keep it closed...

Yes; reducing traffic or adding gates and increasing the active runways are the only real ways to reduce delays. I don't think they understand that more routes are useless without additional runways, I’m taking about runways that can be used during poor Wx (multiple instrument approaches) and when their on the ground where are you going to park them? All you're doing is increasing the controllers work load when it comes to merging traffic on the arrivals, traffic that is already bunched up as close as they legally can be.
