It was very easy. Ofcourse I don't know wether or not I have the job yet.
They give you a written test first. If you just read the ASA ATP oral exam guide you pretty much covered everything you need to know. They don't ask you anything you shouldn't already know. It's all IFR stuff. They have you brief an approach. They ask you why PSA and why should we hire you. What you do know and did you have any other jobs before.
Different groups were interviewed by different people. They break it down in order to finish it quick. I was interviewed by the director of training named Randy and an HR person named Rachel. Randy is a great guy, very out going, funny and in my opinion he really wants to let you fly a jet. Rachel is little more serious about the whole process, but she is also very nice. They all make you feel very comfortable. I don't know anything about how it would go if you get interviewed by Lisa (HR) and the cheif pilot. I think Lisa is the head HR. The cheif pilot is also cool, but he doesn't talk very much.
I say as long as you know the stuff you should already know you are all set. I see you are a CFII, so just make sure you brush up on stuff before you go. Sometimes you forget things and than you realize you did when someone ask you.
So if you want me to tell you what you should study, I'd say just study the gouges, ASA ATP and Instrument Oral Exam Guide, Know the symbols and what they mean from the Jeppesen legend section in the fornt. Pretty much everything about the App charts you wanna know cold.
Pretty much they just wanna see you know the stuff you should know and that you will be someone they will get a long with. They wanna hire you. They need 300 pilots by March.
After the HR interview you go up and fly the tabletop MD-80 sim. It's an ellitle simulator with MD-80 software. That sim isn't hard at all except it is extremely sensetive. Little touch and that things goes all over the place. Don't let it scare you though cause it's sensetivity also makes it easy to fly in away cause if you are near where you aren't suppose to be you can correct it in a sec.
In the sim he have you takeoff and climb to 3000ft at constant pitch 12 degrees. Than from 3000 you climb to 6000 at 250kts constant airspeed. Than you do to level turns at 30 and 45 degrees. Than he will ask you tell me what redial you are on from Charlotte VOR. Than you he will give you a holding instruction and you have to tell him what kind of holding it will be. Make sure ou practise that at home cause he wants you to say your answer fast. I think one guy was out because of that. Than he sets you up for for an ILS App I think it was 18R at charlotte. Than you have to shoot the App down to DH. About 30feet before I reahced my DH he paused the Sim and said ok you are all done.
So thats about it. Just read the gouges. They are right on. All the written questions were straight out of the gouges, but if you just know all instrument stuff and read the ASA ATP guide you are all set.
If you have any question feel free to PM. Just go over mostly instrumnt stuff and know what you will say about question like why should we hire. Don't worry at all cause these guys are really laid back. They are just looking for someone who knows his stuff and who can smile.

Thanks a lot Airplane Crazy. Good to know the interview hasn't changed much. I've been studying the Gleim ATP and basic IFR stuff for the past few weeks, as well HR questions. Glad to hear I'm on the right track. A few days to go and it will be my turn. Hope you get the good news phone call. Thanks again.
