Does the ASA TA have anything in it that stops SkyWest from taking your planes? I was told by a CA who had Chip Childs in his jump seat that SkyWest will take 5+ 700's a year till there gone. I hope there is no truth to this.

I heard someting about that too.... I can't believe all the people that are voting to accept this TA, it makes me sick. I wish we were more like AirTran's pilot group.

You ever notice that most posters say IMO or IMHO when stating opinions? Just wondering

We can be more like Airtran pilots one pilot at a time. Don't worry about the threats of transferring aircraft to SKYW. This is what they want you to believe. They couldn't hire enough pilots to staff them, plus it costs them money to train them, wheras we are already qualified. Do the right thing on principle. This is your chance to make a difference for yourself, your airline, and the entire regional industry. Those of you who voted yes can change your vote. Only the most recent one is recorded. Thanks to all that understand what I am trying to say.

Question

What is so wrong with the TA?? Besides the 700 pay raise of 1%?

The MEC's job is to get what they can from the company. Then they send to the pilots and they decide if they like it. The MEC may not like what they send to the pilot group, but it may be the best they can get from the company, at that time.

I got one roommate voting no and another roommate voting yes. You can figure out which one is the Captain and which one is the FO.

The sad thing is you shouldn't have to have roommates as airline pilots
