AWAC Opens New Bases!!!!
#11
AWAC pays $36,000 per month for hotels in RDU. $24,000 in LGA. I think the "win new business" line was just saying that we'd basically eliminate the $60,000/mo. in hotel costs between those two cities. That is $720,000 annually in savings. So now---they'll be making even more money. Figure they'll hire two new domicile mgrs, two crew rooms, most likely won't have to displace anyone, they'll still make out like bandits in this deal.

Looks like for May, they want
34 CA lineholders, 8 reserve in LGA.
32 FO lineholders, 7 rsv.
RDU CA 33, CA rsv 8.
FO 31, FO rsv 7.
PHL will lose the most slots while DCA and ORF will only lose a handful of pilots...... For now.

Dammit! I picked the regional I thought would open an RDU base, and then another one comes along and does it! Oh well...I guess I'll continue to commute. I can't do another year on 1st year regional FO pay...I'm at 16 months already!
