Mesa
I just wanted to let everyone know that I have reached my dream of becoming an airline pilot!!! I have been hired by Mesa!!! How awesome is that??? I can't wait to start, especially now that I have found out that they have canceled all vacations for pilots on the ERJ and CRJ for the rest of the year!!!
(I have not been hired at Mesa...just trying to lighten things up a little) Seriously though, I read on Mesa's airline profile page on APC that Mesa had canceled all vacations for pilots on the ERJ and CRJ. Is management allowed to do that? Is that allowed in the contract? I think it's about time that Mesa pilots follow in the footsteps of Pinnacle pilots and send a message to management. From what I've read on here, it sounds like it's long overdue. How can the pilots there continue to put up with this crap? |

Why the heck would anyone stick around a joint like that if that's the kind of cr@p they pull around the holidays? On the other hand, you gotta see this stuff coming if you go to that place...

i actually think that most are so happy to fly a jet and that they got any job at an airline they didn't do the research required to know how bad Mesa is.
lazy and SJS are a bad combo |
Mesa is visiting my local area next week. I am just starting to apply to my preferred airlines now. Should I go to the event to interview and get experience with interviewing with the airlines?

DON'T FLY FOR MESA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If a newbie to the industry doesn't do the research then he/she deserves what Mesa's about to do to them. As well as, if they do the research and still decide to take the job. I respect most all pilots; the key word is "most." Mesa’s a “Scum” airline, the bottom of the barrel, the crap on the bottom of our shoes and their run by a guy who's no better than Lorenzo! Why take a job there? Do you not have more respect for yourself? Poor self esteem? Confidence? If you suffer from these issues then let me give you a little advice……………………find a new profession. You won’t make it in this one. Disclaimer: This is by no means an attack on Mesa pilots. Every time I’ve run across one in a bar I’ve bought them a beer! It's an attack on the ignorance of those sitting in their ground schools. |

I guess I should clarify my prior statement. I do have a couple of brain cells left, but I was wondering if it would be good to get out and go through the interview motions with Mesa. If so, my first and second questions will be concerning QOL (Choice of Pilot Base / Aircraft). Second will be about canceled vacations...

I think it would be good experience for you and wasting resources for J.O. Win/win in my book.
