In STX where Seaborne is, my friends typically would pay 700-1000 a month for a place. You will need a car in St. Croix, so factor that in. In San Juan you can get around with out one, and the way they drive there, dont buy a nice one anyway. Rent in SJU is typically a little less that STT and STX, and a whole lot less if you move to the other side of the airport in Los Angeles, instead of Isla Verde.

The best financial deal in the carib though: fly for Cape Air, Live in Ponce: rent 350$ month all included, buy a 500$ Puerto Rican car and have some fun.

Pay is buy duty hour. Per week duty can be from 35 to 75 depending upon what you like. Average is around 45 a week. As far as flight time, It was usually about half my duty time. Carib was 6.5 to 7 flt hrs per day. a little less in the north east. If you choose not to be a bum and work a descent week you will see 40 to 50k per yr.

They'll hire without your CAMES..and give you time to get it. Pretty strict on the mins because they want to be able to upgrade you to capt as soon as possible and if you don't meet the times...no dice. Different style living but hard to beat.

Are you referring to Seaborne? There have been several different airlines referenced in this thread..

Does anyone know if other airlines down south will do this as well?
